Demolition Now Underway at Worcester’s Lakeside

WORCESTER, Mass. – Demolition is now underway at the Worcester Housing Authority’s oldest property. On Monday, crews began tearing down the Lakeside Apartments. Phase one of the multi-step project includes replacing outdated buldings with modern, energy-efficient, and family-focused homes. Worcester Housing Authority CEO Alex Corrales said the project represents a commitment to preserving the spirit and history of Lakeside, while building a stronger future for city residents.
