Program Information

The purpose of the ROSS Program is to assist Worcester Housing Authority Federal Residents with Express Services. These services include but are not limited to, referrals for; childcare, food pantries, summer programs, after school program, furniture, WIC, Health Insurance, Employment, Education and others.

The ROSS Program is designed to help residents with services as needed. When additional supports or needs arise, ROSS Coordinators will facilitate referrals to one of the WHA self-sufficiency programs.

Process through the ROSS Program:

    - After a participant has expressed interest in receiving services from ROSS, the ROSS Coordinator will give the participant a ROSS Program Intake Assessment to fill out. (Participant can find an intake packet in the waiting area or the ROSS Coordinator can hand a hard copy to the participant to fill out.)
    - The assessment is done through case worthy.
    - Once this assessment is completed, the ROSS Coordinator will then determine if the participants needs can be met during the meeting.
    - If the ROSS Coordinator determines that the participant needs more assistance then the Coordinator will schedule up to 3 visits to provide services to meet participant’s needs, and document such services.
    - If the ROSS Coordinator determines at any time that the participant’s needs will be more effectively served through services provided by Family Services self-sufficiency programs, the ROSS Coordinator will make the referral for assignment to a Coach.
