A Place to Live is a development designed specifically to service the homeless, chronically homeless, and low-income population in the Worcester area, some of which may have physical or mental disabilities. A Place to Live will support the residents in a manner that is supportive of their efforts at re-housing and/or rehabilitation.
These are studio apartments that are fully furnished and have WIFI, a security system, card access, included parking, a 24-hour Resident Manager, a Community Room, and Laundry Facilities and private office spaces on each floor.
** Please note that the construction of A Place to Live is experiencing construction material delays. The public will be notified as the Worcester Housing Authority has any updates. **
Effective March 15, 2023, the WHA is no longer accepting applications for A Place to Live.
Eligibility Requirements
Eligibility requirements can be found in 760 CMR 49 Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program as well as the Department of Housing and Community Development Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program Administrative Plan. Preference will be provided to those that are homeless & chronically homeless, along with a local preference.
