Education and Job Placement

thumb

Helping a resident find a job, acquire job skills or improve their education is important to us. We offer a range of specific education, apprentice and job programs designed to help our residents help themselves.

We work hard to make sure that our residents have a range of education and job training opportunities, including:

    - GED classes
    - ESL classes

Job Placement
Our job placement specialist works directly with our residents to help them prepare themselves to seek outside employment. From the initial interview in our offices through the actual job interview, we work closely with interested residents showing them:

    - How to prepare a resume
    - Tips for a successful job interview
    - How to dress for success
    - How to properly complete a job application
    - Interview techniques

We also work directly with area private employers to seek out job opportunities for our residents and work to find the right match. Throughout the process, we make sure that our resident has someone to help guide and advise them. To date, we have been able to help dozens of residents find full and part-time positions that meet their skills and personal needs.
