Updated 2/5/23 at 1:37 pm Residents of Elm Park Tower (425 Pleasant Street, Worcester, MA) - Click here to view more information
Last night due to the freezing temperatures, Elm Park Tower (425 Pleasant Street) experienced pipes freezing, power outages, and major flooding. The WHA, City of Worcester, emergency services, Renaissance Medical Group, Worcester Fire Department, and Worcester Police Department were on site to help us respond.
The WHA worked all night diligently to evacuate all residents. We have residents staying in hotels or with their loved ones. Our staff is working all day today to continue the clean-up efforts as well as providing food and other necessities to the residents at the hotels.
We expect that it will take 2-3 days to fully restore the building back to normal operation. We will be providing updates on Facebook as well as creating a website page (www.worcesterha.org) that folks can easily translate to their preferred language. We will also send robocalls and text alerts to our residents with all the most updated information.
Our website will be the best source of information as well as provide contact information for anyone who has questions.
We thank everyone, including our residents and their loved ones, for their cooperation during this challenging time.
